Jacqui Bassett

Jacqui Bassett is an oil and cold wax painter based in the English Lake District. Inspired by this beautiful and diverse environment, her work explores the emotionality of the land, seas and skies of our British Isles. Back in her studio, she paints intuitively, guided more by how a landscape is experienced, an atmosphere felt than by what is physically seen. She allows the painting to find its own way out whilst still somehow breathing into it a sense of the wilds.
